Ariane recently completed her PhD titled 'Women as secondary earners: The labour market and marriage expectations of educated youth in urban Indonesia'. She first joint ADSRI as a summer scholar, working on a series of Indonesian population datasets. Ariane also holds a Bachelor of Asian Studies and Bachelor of Economics with Honours in Applied Economics degrees from the Australian National University. She is currently working on labour supply dynamics in Australia. Research Interests Gender and the labour market. Returns to education. Transition to adulthood in South East Asia.
