Carole is a data analyst working with Professor Peter Brandon on the composition of families and households. Of particular interest is who children live with and how this changes over time. Research will compare Australia with overseas countries such as USA and the UK.

Before joining the Demography and Sociology Program in 2006, Carole worked in the Commonwealth Department of Family and Community Services, undertaking project management for the Household, Income and Labour Dynamics in Australia (HILDA) Survey.
