Background

Jeromey Temple received his Ph.D in Demography from the Australian National University in 2006. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Arts (Population Studies) degrees with First Class Honours from the Australian National University. Since 2006, Jeromey has held the position of Research Fellow in Demography at the Australian Demographic and Social Research Institute (ADSRI).

Research

Jeromey's research interests center upon economic and spatial demography. He has written papers on population and individual ageing, health insurance, taxation reform, expenditure and dissaving behaviour, food insecurity, household projections and spatial demography. In his current work, Jeromey is focusing upon:

  • Ageing and Labour Supply.
  • Implications of Population Ageing and Demographic Change at the Regional Level.
  • Construction of National Transfer Accounts for Australia.
  • Ageing and Consumer Behaviour (Expenditure, Dissaving and Debt).
  • Child Support and Family Transitions.
