Beginning Australian Population Studies is intended for students in Australia who need a rapid overview of the non-mathematical aspects of demography.

It is based on the textbook Beginning Population Studies which has been in print since 1984 and has been translated into several Asian languages. ADSRI would like to thank the publishers, the National Centre for Development Studies at The Australian National University, Canberra, for permission to include parts of the second (1994) edition.
