This degree will only continue for those currently enrolled.  Students will be given the option of continuing in their current degrees or transferring to the Graduate Certificate in Social Research.

The Graduate Certificate program covers one semester, introduces the population field and provides a basic familiarisation with demographic techniques or social science research methods. Students must pass 24 units of courses drawn from the list below, or including up to a maximum of 6 units from courses of related Graduate Programs. Students can enter a Graduate Certificate at the beginning of Semester 1 or Semester 2.

Admission criteria

The usual minimum entrance requirement for a Graduate Certificate is an undergraduate degree of an acceptable standard from a recognised university, or equivalent academic or professional qualifications. Non-native English speakers need a satisfactory English proficiency score. Pre-course English training can be undertaken via ANU College, if required.
